Punjab Government has announced winter vacation till 06 January 2023 in Literacy & Non-Formal Education Department
Punjab Government has announced winter vacation in all schools from 28th December 2022 to 6th January 2023 under the Literacy and Non-Formal Education Department. All schools will be closed due to severe weather and cold.
The official notification for winter vacation has been released on 27th December 2022. The notification states that given the increasingly severe weather, winter holidays have been declared from December 28 to January 6, 2023.
The Department of Literacy and Non-Formal Education is a separate department from the Punjab School Education Department. Therefore, these holidays are announced only for the Literacy Department.
Department of School Education Punjab has already announced winter vacation from 24th December 2022 to 31st December 2022.
